Nann Criticizes Lisa for Disrespecting Civil Servants in Linking Buriram Governor to Local Administration Department Director-General Appointment

The spokesperson of the Bhumjaithai Party criticized Lisa Phakamon for linking the Buriram governor’s appointment as director-general of the Department of Local Administration to Bhumjaithai-style politics. He stressed the need to respect civil servants who have worked for many years and have proven achievements, as they naturally seek career advancement.

On 25 Aug 2026 GMT+7 at the Bhumjaithai Party headquarters, Ms. Nann Boonthida Somchai, the party’s spokesperson, addressed the case where Ms. Phakamon Noon Anan, a party-list MP and spokesperson of the People’s Party, implied that the appointment of the Buriram governor as director-general of the Department of Local Administration was an example of shameless, crude Bhumjaithai-style politics, which might affect investigations into local government corruption. She said that criticism must be grounded in respect for civil servants, as many have worked for years and regardless of position, all have skills and achievements from their own efforts. Viewing everything through a political lens is disrespectful, especially when insinuating appointments are politically motivated. She emphasized that everyone promoted must be competent, since all seek advancement in their civil service careers. Therefore, linking appointments to politics and questioning where one holds a position is disrespectful to civil servants who have long dedicated themselves to their work.
