Prime Minister Anutin opened Government House to host a luncheon for women ambassadors, fostering warm and friendly relations between Thailand and various countries.
At 11:30 a.m. on 26 August 2026, at the Thai Khu Fah Building, Government House, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul hosted a luncheon for foreign women ambassadors and heads of international women's organizations stationed in Thailand, to meet, converse, and strengthen ties, especially with ambassadors whose terms in Thailand are ending.
Ratchada Thanadirek, spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office, said the luncheon atmosphere was warm and friendly. The Prime Minister and the ambassadors discussed and exchanged views on various topics including work experiences in Thailand, relations between Thailand and other countries, and memorable moments during their service in Thailand.
This meeting also gave the Prime Minister a chance for close conversation with ambassadors and heads of international organizations beyond formal discussions, reflecting the friendship and good relations between Thailand and the diplomatic community in Thailand. It also helped build familiarity and trust, which are essential foundations for promoting cooperation going forward.
For ambassadors concluding their terms, this luncheon was another opportunity to meet and extend friendship before returning home, after having contributed significantly to promoting relations between Thailand and their countries during their service.
Eleven women ambassadors and heads of international organizations participated, representing Guatemala, Canada, Egypt, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Colombia, the European Union, Kenya, New Zealand, Mongolia, and the United Nations Coordinator in Thailand.
