Parit Watjanasinthu rebutted Supachai Jaisamut’s press conference, which contained false information about revealing documents from the Senate corruption case file. He stressed that he never spoke about or disclosed any documents anywhere and challenged Supachai to clarify his claims instead of continuously spreading falsehoods about him.
On 27 Aug 2026 GMT+7, Parit Watjanasinthu, a party-list MP from the People’s Party, posted a statement clarifying the previous day’s incident when Supachai Jaisamut, a Bhumjaithai Party MP, used parliamentary premises to hold a press conference accusing him with false information. Supachai claimed that Parit publicly revealed documents said to be from committee 26 or 36 concerning the Senate corruption case.
Parit stated that after spending the whole day listening to and debating the government’s 400-billion-baht loan decree in the House of Representatives, he only then learned about the press conference. He posed questions back to Supachai about when he supposedly presented the documents, and reaffirmed three facts: 1. He never posted any documents on any of his social media channels; 2. He never presented documents during any media interviews; and 3. During parliamentary debates, he only criticized the loan issue without presenting any Senate case documents.
“I ask Supachai to clearly explain when I showed or disseminated the documents he accused me of. If investigations find this to be false information, please correct the false statements made,” Parit said.
Parit pointed out several inaccuracies in Supachai’s claims, especially the assertion that Parit has never been sued, despite two Bhumjaithai party leaders, Songsak Thongsri and Suksomruay Wantaneeyakul, having publicly stated they filed complaints against him. This led Parit to question how well Supachai, who often speaks on behalf of others in his party, is actually aware of his party colleagues’ actions.
Furthermore, Parit rebutted Supachai’s accusation that he monopolizes patriotism and views those who disagree with him as unpatriotic, saying this claim is completely contradicted by reality.
“In fact, the person whose statements most closely match these accusations is Minister Pipat, who during the 2026 election campaign said to vote for the patriotic side and that it’s unnecessary to vote for those who are not patriotic. According to news reports from that day, MP Supachai seemed to be sitting right beside Minister Pipat,” Parit added.
