The government praises and congratulates “Nene Royal” for winning the Golden Buzzer to advance to the America’s Got Talent 2026 finale, inviting Thai people to cheer and support her in claiming the global stage championship.
On 27 August 2026, Ms. Ploytale Laksamisangchan, Deputy Spokesperson for the Prime Minister’s Office, announced that Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul expressed his admiration and congratulations to “Nene Royal,” or Nong Praew, Miss Rattikan Amloy, a 16-year-old youth from Phuket province who has brought honor to her province and Thailand on the global stage of America’s Got Talent 2026. She impressed the audience with her singing and guitar performance of “Black Hole Sun,” earning the Golden Buzzer from Mel B, which secured her immediate advancement to the finale.
Ms. Ploytale added that beyond her stage talent, Nene incorporated traditional Thai fabric (Yok Bler woven fabric/native fabric from the Andaman region) featuring golden Thai patterns, a distinctive indigenous textile originating and widely produced in Thailand’s southern border provinces (such as Yala, Narathiwat, Pattani) and the Malay Peninsula. She adapted this fabric by tying it around her waist alongside her pants to present a contemporary Thai aesthetic alongside her world-class rock music performance. This demonstrated Thailand’s cultural Soft Power and impressed audiences worldwide.
“The government invites all Thai people to send their support and cheer for Nong Nene to win America’s Got Talent 2026 (Season 21). The finale competition is scheduled for Tuesday, 22 September 2026, with the winner announced on Wednesday, 23 September 2026, U.S. time. Nene’s success is a source of pride for her family, all Thai people, Phuket residents, and serves as inspiration for Thai youth to pursue their dreams,” the spokesperson stated.
