On 27 Aug 2026 at 10:30 a.m., the Constitutional Court assigned judges Virul Sangthian and Napadol Thepphitak, along with responsible officials, to jointly inspect the storage of ballots, ballot stubs, remaining ballots, voter registration lists, and election materials used in the general election on 8 Feb 2026 at Lak Si District Office. Parties involved in the case also joined the evidence inspection, including Mr. Saeng Boonmee, Secretary-General of the Election Commission (EC); Lt. Col. Phasakorn Siriphakayaporn, Deputy Secretary-General of the EC; and Worapong Anancharoenkit, Director of the Election Support Bureau, EC Office. After about one hour of inspection, Mr. Saeng Boonmee, Secretary-General of the EC, stated that today's Constitutional Court investigation aimed to verify whether the processes of storing ballots, ballot stubs, remaining ballots, and voter registration lists were consistent with the EC's testimony before the court. He believes the court has thoroughly reviewed all relevant facts and resolved all issues. The judges toured the facility with officials explaining procedures, and based on their statements, all points appear fully covered. Additionally, the court allowed the complainant, the Ombudsman, to raise any questions to the respondent. Following this, the EC will submit its closing statement to the Constitutional Court by 11 Sep to clarify the purpose of their actions.
