'Ice Cream Parit' revealed that the opposition leaders' forum with the public, originally planned at Pullman Hotel, will no longer be held there after the hotel requested a postponement. The Parliament's meeting room has been prepared as a backup venue for the event.
On 27 Aug 2026 at 12:30 PM at the Parliament, Parit Watcharasindhu, party-list MP of the People's Party (PPP), disclosed that the venue for the opposition leaders' forum titled "Thai Politics in a Crisis of Confidence: The Truth Society Needs Answers To," initially scheduled for 29 Aug at Pullman King Power Hotel, was changed. He had just been informed by parliamentary staff that the Pullman Hotel reversed its decision and requested the event be postponed or canceled at their venue. Parit stated this was acceptable as he had already coordinated a booking of a Parliament meeting room as a backup plan. Therefore, the event will proceed as planned but at the Parliament instead.
Parit further explained that the idea of holding the forum at Pullman Hotel, a venue known to many as a gathering place for certain senators, was previously approved by the hotel, which is why the event was publicized there. He emphasized that the venue itself did nothing wrong. However, he was informed today that the hotel requested the event not be held there. He stressed that this is the hotel's right to decide, but they had prepared a backup plan all along.
