Prime Minister Surprised, Unaware of Pullman Hotel Rejecting Oppositions Seminar Venue Request

The Prime Minister expressed surprise and said he was unaware of the Pullman Hotel's refusal to allow the opposition to hold a seminar there. He asked the media, "They won't allow it anymore?" and affirmed that the government is not involved.

On 28 Aug 2026, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul was interviewed about the Pullman King Power Bangkok Hotel sending a letter to Siroj Paetphan, Secretary-General of the Secretariat of the House of Representatives, denying permission to use the venue for the opposition leaders' seminar originally scheduled for Saturday, 29 Aug 2026. He said he had no knowledge of the matter at all and exclaimed, "Oh! How could I know everything? Some matters are not related to the government." The Prime Minister then asked, "They won't allow it anymore?" When a reporter replied that the venue owners were concerned it might affect guests staying at the hotel, he nodded and said the seminar doesn't have to be held in only one conference room.
