Thitikhet Avoids Media, Urges PTS Students to Attend Election Commission Meeting Before Leaving Stage

Thitikhet avoided the media and declined to answer whether the Senate election collusion case would be resolved by next week. He told the 16th batch of PTS students before leaving the stage that he needed to hurry to attend the Election Commission meeting.

At 13:20 on 28 August 2026 GMT+7. Thitikhet Nuchanat, Election Commissioner, said after delivering a keynote speech presenting the practical strategy of the 16th batch of the Advanced Political Development and Election Course (PTS) at Rama Gardens Hotel, that while he was giving the speech, the Election Commission had a meeting. Therefore, once he finished, he had to quickly attend the meeting and could not stay to listen to the students’ strategy presentations.

After stepping down from the stage, Thitikhet left through a side door as several reporters waited to interview him. Election Commission officials blocked the media from following him. When reporters tried to ask if the Senate election collusion case would be concluded by next week, Thitikhet did not respond and hurried into his car immediately.

Thitikhet is one of the Election Commissioners accused and closely watched regarding his role in voting on the case about the Senate election collusion. Meanwhile, groups including reserve senators and legal experts have submitted letters and campaigned for him to withdraw from voting on the case due to concerns about transparency and rumors about internal Election Commission decisions.
