THAIRATH FORUM 2026: THAILAND IN THE NEW GLOBAL ORDER The forum invited everyone to watch Thailand’s direction through insights from national leaders and executives under the theme “Transforming Thailand’s Economic Strategy,” featuring Prof. Emeritus Dr. Surakiart Sathirathai, Chairman of Chulalongkorn University Council and former Deputy Prime Minister; Mr. Arthit Nanthawithaya, CEO of SCB X Public Company Limited; Mr. Prasit Boondoungprasert, CEO of Charoen Pokphand Foods Public Company Limited; and Mr. Aloke Lohia, CEO of Indorama Ventures Public Company Limited. They jointly decoded economic challenges, seeking opportunities and solutions for Thailand under the new global order. The subtopics included Thailand’s Blueprint for the New Global Order: Direction and Survival under the New Global Order; The New Global Order: Impact and Opportunities Amidst Superpowers’ Struggle—covering volatile global battlegrounds, ASEAN’s golden opportunities and Asia’s rise, capital and technology trends driving Thailand’s leap forward without leaving anyone behind, and expectations for government policy.
Before the event began at 17:00, the atmosphere was bustling as attendees arrived continuously, including Dr. Prajin Eamlumnow, founder of Grand Prix International Public Company Limited and known as Thailand’s “Motor Show Tycoon”; Mrs. Nopparat Kulhirun, dubbed “Madame Tank,” founder of Chaiseri Metal and Rubber Company producing armored vehicles for Thai and foreign armies; followed by Mr. Aloke Lohia, CEO of Indorama Ventures Public Company Limited; Mr. Prasit Boondoungprasert, CEO of Charoen Pokphand Foods Public Company Limited; Prof. Emeritus Dr. Surakiart Sathirathai, Chairman of Chulalongkorn University Council and former Deputy Prime Minister; and Mr. Aloke Lohia again (likely a repetition).
