Nirat declared that the Department of Local Administration has closed the case of local exam fraud, revoking the appointments of 3,868 individuals already placed, while 2,057 who have not yet been appointed do not need revocation. He revealed no revoked individuals have filed lawsuits against local government executives.
At 18:55 on 31 Aug 2026 GMT+7, Mr. Nirat Pongsitthaworn, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, acting Director-General of the Department of Local Administration, stated that The Department of Local Administration (DLA) has concluded the case of correcting local exam scores, summarizing a total of 5,925 candidates with score changes. Among them, 3,868 who were already appointed had their appointments revoked. Meanwhile, 2,057 candidates who have not yet been appointed do not need revocation and will not be called for appointment.
Nirat added that 146 individuals have voluntarily resigned (included in the 3,868 revoked), and 1,489 candidates reviewed their exam scores without lodging any objections or appeals. The provincial committees in all 76 provinces have completed their work, and no revoked individuals have filed lawsuits against local government executives.
