The Department of Local Administration has submitted data on 5,925 individuals with score alterations to five authorized agencies: the National Anti-Corruption Commission, Office of Public Sector Anti-Corruption Commission, Anti-Money Laundering Office, Anti-Corruption Division, and Department of Special Investigation. These agencies are tasked with examining both corruption and financial pathways under their legal authority. If wrongdoing is found, strict measures will be taken to punish offenders and restore justice to honest candidates.
Regarding measures to address the impact, the Ministry of Interior ordered the revocation of appointments for 3,868 involved candidates nationwide, effective 31 August 2026. Meanwhile, about 2,000 other candidates with irregularities who have not yet been appointed will be permanently barred from civil service. The plan is to call honestly qualified candidates to fill the vacant positions by October. The numbers 5,925 and 3,868 refer to different stages of the management process and do not conflict.
Mr. Worasit concluded by emphasizing that the most important goal is to restore fairness to those who studied diligently and passed on their own merit. The damage has affected those who followed the rules.
