Prime Minister Anutin will open Government House tomorrow to welcome the historic women's volleyball team that secured a spot at the Olympic Games LA 2028, and will personally press the button to transfer the prize money.
On 2 September 2026, Ms. Ploytale Laksamee Sangchan, Deputy Spokesperson of the Prime Minister's Office, announced that on 3 September 2026, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul will host a reception at Government House’s Thai Khu Fah Building, Purple Room, to honor and present prize money to the athletes, coaches, and sports association members who participated in the 2026 AVC Women’s Volleyball Continental Championship. This is to recognize and thank all athletes, coaching staff, and the entire team for their dedication and for bringing joy to all Thai people.
The Prime Minister will officially congratulate the athletes, coaching staff, and team members for their outstanding international performance, which has brought honor and pride to Thailand by making history in qualifying for the Olympic Games LA 2028.
Additionally, the Prime Minister will conduct a ceremony to press the button transferring prize money directly and in real time into the athletes' accounts. This act affirms the government's ongoing policy to promote Thai volleyball and athletes through welfare, sports science, and comprehensive budget support to continuously develop athletes' potential.
