Ministry of Energy Sends Legal Team to File Complaint Against Data Center Company in Rama 9 Tomorrow

The Ministry of Energy is sending a legal team to file a complaint against a Data Center company in the Rama 9 area tomorrow (3 Sep) after unauthorized oil storage was discovered.

On 2 Sep 2026, reporters reported that tomorrow (3 Sep) at 10:00 a.m., the Ministry of Energy has assigned legal officers to file a complaint against a Data Center company on Rama 9 Road at Makkasan Police Station. This follows the inspection today by Ms. Thitiphat Chotidechachainan, known as “O Su Soi,” who found unauthorized oil storage operations. An order has been issued to move the oil out of the premises immediately.

It was firmly confirmed that Energy Minister Eknat Phrompan has a strict policy on this matter and has ordered a halt to issuing new emergency oil reserve licenses to all Data Center groups. He has also sent a warning to those secretly conducting unauthorized operations and stockpiling oil beyond permitted limits. The maximum penalty is imprisonment without exception, according to the highest legal standards, which includes up to 2 years in prison or a fine of up to 200,000 baht.
