At 9:00 a.m. on 3 Sep 2026 GMT+7 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok, Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul delivered a keynote speech titled “Thailand’s Offer to the World” at The Bangkok Business Summit 2026. The Prime Minister emphasized that Thailand will neither remain stagnant nor isolate itself amid global economic fragility. Instead, it will strengthen economic cooperation and connect production networks with ASEAN and other regions. Regarding artificial intelligence (AI) technology, Thailand aims not just to be a user of technologies developed elsewhere but to build knowledge and enhance the skills of its workforce and SMEs to innovate and compete.Tags: [economic cooperation, ASEAN, artificial intelligence, workforce development, SMEs, innovation]

Furthermore, Thailand is ready to turn the climate change crisis into an opportunity to attract investment in clean energy, infrastructure, and nature-based solutions. Importantly, in an aging society era, the government aims to develop a Longevity Economy to transform the elderly from an economic burden into new opportunities across health, wellness, tourism, and technology industries.Tags: [climate change, clean energy, infrastructure, Longevity Economy, aging society, health, wellness, tourism, technology]

"What Thailand offers the world is not just a geographical location on the map but deep readiness, including strong industrial clusters, logistics, and experienced labor. Investors can use Thailand as a springboard to connect supply chains throughout ASEAN, targeting not only the domestic market of 70 million but also a regional population of over one billion," the Prime Minister said.Tags: [investment, ASEAN supply chain, industrial clusters, logistics, labor force, regional market]

The Prime Minister noted another key strength: the ability to connect industries across sectors, such as integrating advanced manufacturing with digital technology, linking agriculture with biotechnology and future foods, and using clean energy to power future vehicles. Thailand also serves as a destination where global talent can build lives and families, supported by internationally standardized healthcare and quality of life. To facilitate investors, the government is reviewing and preparing to repeal over 7,000 regulatory obstacles to doing business, while elevating national standards through the OECD membership process.Tags: [industrial integration, advanced manufacturing, digital technology, agriculture, biotechnology, clean energy, talent attraction, regulatory reform, OECD]

In closing, the Prime Minister addressed foreign investors, stating that Thailand is ready to be more than just a production base or market outlet. It seeks to be a partner in building future industries. He urged investors not just to establish businesses in Thailand but to build them together with the country. This readiness and potential will be showcased to the world as Thailand hosts the annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank in Bangkok next month.Tags: [foreign investment, industry partnership, future industries, IMF meeting, World Bank meeting, Bangkok]
