At 11:35 a.m. on 3 September 2026 at the Government House, Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul commented on former People's Alliance for Democracy leader Sondhi Limthongkul's scheduled press conference on 7 September to prepare for leading a mass protest to reclaim the country from 'shadow capital.' The Prime Minister stated that Thailand and its people owe no debts to anyone because Thailand belongs to all Thais; therefore, no one needs to reclaim it.
When asked if he personally believed there would be no problems afterward, the Prime Minister said it is the right of all citizens to express themselves under the constitution, which must be within the law. As long as actions comply with the constitution, there will be no issues.
