Supamas ordered the Consumer Protection Board (CPB) to urgently coordinate with the organizers of the "Asanee-Wasan" concert to assist consumers in rescheduling attendance or requesting full ticket refunds after a portion of the temporary elevated seating in the VIP zone collapsed during the concert.
On 3 Sep 2026, Ms. Supamas Isarapakdi, Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office and supervisor of the Consumer Protection Board (CPB), disclosed that on the night of 2 Sep 2026, a temporary elevated seating area in the VIP zone collapsed during the "FAREWELL CONCERT Asanee and Wasan" at Impact Arena, Muang Thong Thani. The organizers consequently halted the performance and postponed it to 9 Sep 2026 at 6:00 p.m.
Upon receiving the report early this morning, she instructed the CPB to urgently coordinate with Nee Krung Connect Company Limited, the event organizer, and Thai Ticket Major Company Limited, the ticket seller, to discuss consumer impact and demands. Later that afternoon, the CPB held a joint meeting with both parties to find solutions and establish suitable options for ticket holders, resulting in the following joint conclusions.
The compensation measures allow ticket holders from the 2 Sep 2026 performance who cannot attend on 9 Sep to request a full refund through Thai Ticket Major Company Limited. Those wishing to attend may reschedule to the performances on 3, 5, 6, or 8 Sep 2026.
Additionally, the organizers have allocated VIP seating for 30 international attendees wishing to see the 3 Sep performance. Requests for standing tickets from 8 individuals have also been fulfilled as per their wishes.
“Consumers should not have to chase answers themselves. Offering only a new performance date does not cover everyone. Therefore, I instructed the CPB to urgently coordinate all parties to ensure ticket holders have options suited to their individual constraints and receive fair treatment,” Ms. Supamas said.
Those seeking refunds can contact any Thai Ticket Major branch, email CS@THAITICKETMAJOR.COM, or call the call center at 02 262 3456. Credit card payments will be refunded within two billing cycles, while cash or bank transfer payments will be refunded within 15 business days from the date the company receives complete bank account information.
That same afternoon, CPB officials visited the site to document and collect facts about the area after the organizers reported having made repairs and acknowledged the compensation measures for follow-up.
For additional expenses caused by the postponement—such as accommodation, airfare, taxi or travel between airport, hotel, and venue, as well as fees due to itinerary changes—consumers may submit cases with evidence to the CPB for the organizers’ consideration on a case-by-case basis. Affected individuals should keep their concert tickets, payment proofs, accommodation receipts, flight tickets, travel receipts, and correspondence with the organizers intact.
Consumers unable to contact Thai Ticket Major or the organizers directly may request the CPB’s assistance. Those unsuccessful in obtaining refunds or rescheduling, or who believe compensation is insufficient or unfair, may file complaints through the CPB hotline at 1166, the OCPB Connect app, the website www.ocpb.go.th, or any provincial Damrongtham Center.
