“Mai” questions whether the circular promoting the “TH-AI Passport” project indicates a conflict of interest, asking if recruiting civil servants to register effectively increases private sector revenue.
On 3 Sep 2026 GMT+7, Ms. Sirikan Tansakul, Deputy Leader of the Prachachon Party, posted on Facebook an image of a document requesting the promotion of the digital and artificial intelligence skill development project for Thais (TH-AI Passport), signed by the Secretary-General of the National Digital Economy and Society Committee. She wrote, “Is this considered a conflict of interest? Since the amended contract pays based on the actual number of users, and publicity is included in the project's TOR, recruiting civil servants to register equates to increasing revenue for the private sector? Or do billboard and convenience store screen advertisements not work?”
