"Rome" accused the government of cruelty, citing the southern border situation as a pretext to confuse and delay the Election Commission's report, thereby evading the vote-rigging issue. He pressed the Prime Minister to explain what "Thongjuea" has to do with the local examination.
At 11:30 a.m. on 4 Sep 2026, Mr. Rangsiman Rome, a party-list MP from the People’s Party, commented on the parliamentary session of 3 Sep, questioning whether it was a political game since the Election Commission's annual report was ultimately not considered. He said he would describe it as a deliberate act of feigned confusion, using the situation in the three southern border provinces as a cover to protect hidden political motives. He bluntly called it cruel, saying it was a mechanism to buy time and avoid questions about the Senate election. Doing this, he argued, was clearly cruel and obviously a tactic to delay addressing vote-rigging in the Senate election. Regarding the Prime Minister’s accusation that the opposition leader is unaware of the southern border budget, Rome challenged the Prime Minister to specify points and use legal grounds. If it’s just to discredit, he asked what credibility the Prime Minister still has left to discredit others. He pointed out that the southern insurgency worsens because of the government’s mismanagement, noting that MP Kamolsak has yet to find the real culprits behind the violence.
Mr. Rangsiman added that this does not even include other issues like Senate vote-rigging and local exam investigations. He demanded clarification on why Mr. Thongjuea is involved with local administrative organizations and why Mr. Warasit Liangprasert, Deputy Minister of Interior, admitted to coordinating with them. He questioned whether they had official contractual roles. He said the public now wonders if the government is leading a criminal organization plundering Thailand. He emphasized that although the opposition has limited mechanisms, they are doing their utmost to achieve the best outcomes. The People’s Party is fully prepared to aggressively pursue the government in the upcoming no-confidence debate.
