Final Call: Government Urges Public to Use Thai Help Thai Plus 60/40 Rights as Spending Surpasses 138 Billion Baht

It is the final month as the government invites citizens to use their rights under the “Thai Help Thai Plus 60/40” program to ease living expenses. The accumulated spending has surpassed 138 billion baht, spreading income to over 1.19 million shops.

On 5 September 2026, Ms. Lalida Pertwiwatthana, Deputy Spokesperson of the Office of the Prime Minister, announced that the government invites eligible citizens to use their rights under the “Thai Help Thai Plus” program during its final month. This aims to reduce daily living costs while distributing income to small shops and entrepreneurs nationwide. As of 4 September 2026 at 23:00, cumulative spending reached 138.3793 billion baht, with 26,040,623 eligible citizens and 1,192,565 verified participating shops.

Ms. Lalida said the government, led by Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, urges those eligible for the “Thai Help Thai Plus” program to maximize benefits during the final month. The 60/40 co-payment scheme aims to ease citizens’ living costs while stimulating spending and distributing income to small shops, restaurants, and entrepreneurs throughout the country.

Of the accumulated spending of 138.3793 billion baht, the government supported 79.5052 billion baht, including 76.6042 billion baht through regular shops and 2.901 billion baht via Food Delivery. Citizens co-paid 58.8741 billion baht, split into 56.6185 billion baht at regular shops and 2.2556 billion baht through Food Delivery.

Combining government and citizen spending via Food Delivery channels, the total circulation reached 5.1566 billion baht. More than 1.19 million shops have been verified to participate, increasing sales channels and income opportunities for both physical stores and online operators.

“Now that the program is in its final month, the government invites eligible citizens with remaining balances to check their rights and plan their spending within the designated timeframe. Every purchase not only helps reduce living costs but also passes income to small shops, restaurants, and community entrepreneurs, boosting ongoing economic circulation and distributing funds across regions nationwide,” Ms. Lalida said.

The Deputy Spokesperson added that the government urges citizens to verify their remaining balance and usage conditions, and to spend at participating shops as needed during the remaining period. This will ensure they fully benefit from the program before it ends, while supporting small shops and entrepreneurs by increasing their income in the program's final phase.
