Chonlapol pointed out that the 36th subcommittee, which ruled that the Senate selection was not wrongful, consists entirely of individuals close to Anutin. Meanwhile, the high-level political and election development course of the EC is led by course association leaders who are key figures of Bhumjaithai.
On 6 September 2026 at the Future Forward Building, Chonlapol Sathondee, an MP for Bangkok from the People’s Party, held a press conference targeting the 36th adjudication subcommittee that ruled the Senate selection was lawful. He wanted to reveal the network surrounding Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior. He presented profiles of each member of the 36th subcommittee: First, Anucha Jansuriya, advisor to the EC Chairman, graduated from PTS course class 6 and NTHP class 7; Police Lieutenant Colonel Piya Raksakul, who personally escorted the Prime Minister to Buriram Airport and was appointed by Anutin as a Metropolitan Waterworks Authority board member, graduated from PTS class 10 and NTHP class 11; third, Atsathai Rattandilok Na Phuket, EC board advisor in 2025, graduated from NTHP and PTS class 6; fourth, Chaowana Traimat, former secretary of the Constitutional Court, graduated from PTS class 36; and finally, Decha Prukphatpanarak, former Port Authority board chairman during Minister Pipat Ratchakitprakarn’s tenure, previously director-general of the Department of Skill Development appointed by Pipat, also graduated from PTS class 14. He noted these members often moved together, attending the same courses.
Chonlapol elaborated that the PTS course is essentially a connection course similar to the War College but conducted within the EC itself. Five members of the 36th adjudication subcommittee attended this course. The "High-Level Political and Election Development Course" organized by the Political Party and Election Learning Institute under the EC, known as PTS, includes several Bhumjaithai Party members: Supachai Jaisamut, party list MP; Anutin; Police General Permpoon Chidchob, former Education Minister and brother of Newin Chidchob; Sarawut Klinprathum, party advisor; Mallika Jirapanvas, deputy speaker; Waenfa Thongsri, wife of Deputy Prime Minister Songsak Thongsri; Sarawut Boonmee, EC secretary-general; Khempon Uitayakul, assistant to Minister Pipat; and Natthanon Srikorkuea, Songkhla MP. They are closely connected within the EC. The course board includes Santat Siriananpaiboon, former EC board member, and Itthipol Boonprakong, former EC chairman. The PTS association president includes Sarawut, Anutin, and Supachai. Chonlapol suggested the PTS course might be run under the “blue” network.
Chonlapol added that another course, NTHP—short for Rule of Law for Democracy Course—is organized by the Constitutional Court as a connection course. Three members of the 36th adjudication subcommittee attended: Atsathai, Anucha, and Police Lieutenant Colonel Piya. On the Bhumjaithai side, attendees include Anutin, Sarawut, and Police General Permpoon. Chaowana Traimat approved their graduation. This serves as a space for networking, which also extends to business connections, including Atsathai.The names appearas board members of companies related to Minister Pipat and Wivat Kraipisitkul, a current member of the Senate.
