
Deputy Minister Akkaranan closed the Thailand Youth Bridge Championship competing for the Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari trophy, highlighting the Princess as a role model for youth, reflecting the power of determination, discipline, and self-improvement.
On 6 September 2026, Mr. Akkaranan Kankittinan, Deputy Minister of Education, chaired the closing ceremony of the 2026 Thailand Youth Bridge Championship for pairs, awarding the Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana trophy and presenting it to the winners. Present were Khunying Chodchoi Sophonpanich, President of the Thailand Bridge Association, competition committee members, and athletes at the Boonyaket Meeting Room, Kurusapha Auditorium, Ministry of Education.
Mr. Akkaranan said bridge promotes skills in analytical thinking, planning, and reasoning, which are essential for learning and developing the potential of children and youth. This aligns with educational goals to develop learners with knowledge, skills, and qualities ready for future life. He encouraged all athletes to apply their experience and skills gained from the competition to academics, daily life, and continuous self-improvement, growing into quality personnel and key contributors to the country's progress.
“It is an immense royal grace that this competition received a royal trophy, which not only brings joy and pride to the youth but also sets an example of the value of determination, discipline, and continuous self-development. I urge all athletes to take inspiration from Her Royal Highness’s deeds and exemplary conduct as motivation to learn, practice, and move forward to their full potential, growing into a new generation of quality individuals and vital national assets,” said Mr. Akkaranan.
The competition was held from 5-6 September 2026 at the Kurusapha Auditorium, Ministry of Education. At the closing ceremony, Mr. Akkaranan presented royal trophies to the winners in five categories: Mini Bridge Under-12 Division 1, Mini Bridge Under-15 Division 1, Bridge Under-12 Division 1, Bridge Under-15 Division 1, and Bridge Under-18 Division 1.
