Prime Minister Attends Parliament Meeting on Budget Bill 70, Stages 2-3, Assures No Concerns as Ekniti Provides Clarifications

Prime Minister Anutin attended Parliament to participate in the meeting on the 2570 Budget Bill, stages 2-3, stating there is nothing to worry about as Ekniti is present to provide explanations.

At 10:35 on 7 September 2026, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul arrived at the House of Representatives to join the meeting to consider the draft Budget Expenditure Act for the fiscal year 2570. He said, "I am here to listen to the budget debate and must attend as much as possible before I depart. Tonight, I have been graciously appointed to represent His Majesty the King at the royal funeral ceremony of the King of Norway. Therefore, before I travel, I am exercising my right to vote on each clause of the 2570 Budget Bill."

When asked if there were any concerns about his lengthy absence, the Prime Minister said that coordination and follow-up are ongoing, and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Ekniti Nitithanprapas, as chairman of the special committee reviewing the 2570 Budget Bill, remains in Parliament to provide explanations to all MPs.

The Prime Minister also stated that today's session involves stages 2-3, after which the bill must be presented to the Senate, so there is still time remaining.
