"Ice Rakchanok" posted that 44 former Move Forward MPs have confidently appeared in court, while 229 people involved in the senator corruption case have also faced the courts. She asked if they are ready to go to court, thanking Bhumjaithai Party members for acknowledging the number 229 as genuinely related to their party.
On 8 Sep 2026 GMT+7, reporters noted that during the parliamentary session reviewing the 2027 annual budget bill in its second reading, some People's Party MPs displayed signs with the number "229" on a blue background, and some wore square "229" badges on their chests. This number represents senators and Bhumjaithai MPs accused of involvement in the senator vote-rigging scandal.
Meanwhile, the Bhumjaithai Party responded by displaying orange-background signs with the number "44," referring to 44 former Move Forward MPs facing charges related to their proposal to amend Section 112.
Most recently, Rakchanok Srinok, a party-list MP from the People's Party, posted on Facebook stating, "44 MPs have confidently appeared in court, while 229 people involved in the senator corruption case have also faced the courts. Are you ready to go to court?"
She expressed gratitude to Bhumjaithai Party members who came forward to acknowledge that the number 229 truly relates to their party, hoping this would end confusion and doubt.
She concluded by saying, "P.S. The courage to uphold legislative power against problematic laws is very different from the shameless attempts to monopolize the country. This distinction is significant."
