Warawut is set to propose to the Cabinet the transfer of the Permanent Secretary of Industry to Government House, revealing he has already discussed the matter with the Prime Minister, who is aware.
At 08:40 on 8 September 2026 at the Parliament, Warawut Silpa-archa, Minister of Industry, spoke about the appointment and transfer of permanent secretaries, saying that none have been made yet because the appointment process must be completed first.
When asked which department the transfer would involve, Warawut said the decision must await the Cabinet's resolution, as no official decision has been made yet. The details will be revealed in due course.
When asked whether the current Permanent Secretary of Industry will remain in the ministry or be transferred to Government House, Warawut said he will move to Government House. Regarding the appointment of a new Permanent Secretary, for everyone's assurance, they must wait for the royal decree to be issued. Once it is published in the Royal Gazette, the ministry will proceed with appointing the new Permanent Secretary.
When asked if he had met with the Prime Minister at Government House on 7 September, Warawut said they had discussed the matter and that the Prime Minister is fully aware.
