On 8 Sep 2026 GMT+7, reporters observed that amid ongoing rumors about the possibility of the Kla Tham party joining the government, Attakorn Sirilattayakorn, MP for Chachoengsao and Kla Tham party spokesperson as well as former Minister of Tourism and Sports, met with Minister of Tourism and Sports Surasak Phanjaroenworakul on the fourth floor of the Parliament building before the Cabinet meeting. Afterwards, Phraador Prisananantakul, Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office, greeted Attakorn and grabbed his arm.
Reporters teased Attakorn about plans to join in November, to which he replied, "My heart has been with Brother Bad (Phraador's nickname) from day one." Reporters then teased Phraador, asking if he was pulling Attakorn straight into the meeting. Phraador responded, "Yes, bring him in," while pretending to pull Attakorn's arm toward the three Cabinet meeting rooms. When asked jokingly which ministry he preferred, Attakorn waved off the question, saying he had come to see the Minister of Tourism and Sports and had already talked with him. When pressed on whether he was joining the government or collaborating with Bhumjaithai, Attakorn said, "That’s a matter for senior leaders to discuss." When asked if talks had taken place, he declined to answer but said he was currently serving as an opposition MP. When reporters asked if it was a pro-government opposition, he said it was a "Kla Tham-style opposition."
When asked if there had been any prior discussions, Attakorn said he regularly talks with Phraador every day about parliamentary work and how the government can pass laws beneficial to the people.
Reporters asked if Kla Tham would help or was ready to support the government in any way. Attakorn responded that they are ready to help with anything beneficial to the public.
