Prime Ministers Office Orders Ratchada - Ekaphop to Resign from Previous Positions Ahead of New Cabinet Appointments Today

The Royal Gazette published an order from the Prime Minister's Office stating that Ratchada Thanadirek and Ekaphop Pianpiset resigned from their previous positions on 7 Sep 2026, ahead of today's Cabinet appointments (8 Sep) where they exchanged roles.


On 8 September 2026, the Royal Gazette website publishedPrime Minister's Office Order No. 328/2569 concerning the removal of political officials from their positions.Signed by Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul on 4 September 2026, the order stated that

According to Prime Minister's Office Order No. 81/2569 dated 7 April 2026, appointing Ms. Ratchada Thanadirek as political official and spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office, effective from 6 April 2026,

Since Ms. Ratchada Thanadirek has resigned from the position effective 7 September 2026, under the authority of Section 10(2) of the Political Official Act B.E. 2535 (1992), it is ordered that Ms. Ratchada Thanadirek, political official and spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office, is removed from the position due to resignation.  

This is effective from 7 September 2026 onwards.


Meanwhile, there is alsoPrime Minister's Office Order No. 329/2569 concerning the removal of Assistant Ministers from their positions.Signed by the Prime Minister on the same day, the order stated that according to the Prime Minister's Office announcement dated 12 May 2026 appointing Mr. Ekaphop Pianpiset as Assistant Minister effective 12 May 2026,

Since Mr. Ekaphop Pianpiset has resigned effective 7 September 2026, under the authority of Clauses 3 and 8(2) of the Prime Minister's Office regulations on Assistant Ministers B.E. 2556 (2013), Mr. Ekaphop Pianpiset, Assistant Minister, is removed from the position due to resignation.

This is effective from 7 September 2026 onwards.

Additional reporting indicates that the Cabinet today approved the proposal from the Secretariat of the Prime Minister. They appointed Mr. Ekaphop Pianpiset as political official and spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office, effective from 8 September 2026. The Cabinet also approved the appointment of Ms. Ratchada Thanadirek as Assistant Minister, effective from the date the Prime Minister signs the announcement.
