At 13:19 on 9 Sep 2026 GMT+7 Ms. Thisana Chunhawun, also known as Kaewta, former Member of Parliament for Bangkok from the Move Forward Party and the People's Party, posted a photo with Mr. Yotsanan Wongsawat, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, at the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation,on her personal Facebook page.Ms. Thisana wore red attire for the meeting.
Ms. Thisana stated that today she joined discussions with the Pheu Thai Party and the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation on the issue of violence in educational institutions and universities. Universities should be safe spaces, not places where students, staff, or those with less power face harassment, sexual abuse, violence, or abuse of authority. Solutions must go beyond complaint reception to include independent, transparent, and accessible protection mechanisms that assure complainants they will not face retaliation or repeated harm.
