On 9 Sep 2026 GMT+7, Ms. Siripa Intawichian, deputy spokesperson of the Democrat Party, posted on Facebook about the oil seepage found in the drainage pipeline near Chuea Phloeng Road at the border between Khlong Toei and Yannawa districts since 8 Sep. She said that regarding the oil stains on Chuea Phloeng Road, Governor Chadchart should do more than just measure the amount of leaked oil; he should send the oil samples to the Department of Science for source verification. The Department can compare the oil formula from each company to identify which company’s oil is contaminating the drainage pipe, so those companies can be held responsible for environmental damage. If the governor and experts believe the leak comes from oil pipelines, the first step should not be digging up the ground to find the leak. Instead, they must immediately halt oil transport through the affected pipeline route, test the pipeline system to determine which pipeline is leaking, and then excavate only that section to find the leak, avoiding a futile search like "finding a needle in a haystack."
