He emphasized that nominating a candidate is not a territorial takeover plan but an opportunity to bring the New Nonthaburi policy into provincial administration.
On 9 September 2026, Nattapong Rueangpanyawut, party-list MP and leader of the Prachachon Party, spoke about the upcoming Nonthaburi Provincial Governor election. He said he had heard concerns from local networks that if Decharat Sukkamned, the party's candidate, wins, some local political groups might be disadvantaged as it could be seen as the Prachachon Party establishing a political base in Nonthaburi.
Nattapong affirmed that nominating Decharat for Nonthaburi Provincial Governor was not aimed at territorial control or building a political base, stating that the Prachachon Party has never engaged in such political tactics.
"Our sole expectation is the opportunity to work—to bring the New Nonthaburi policy into provincial administration, using the budget transparently and efficiently so that Nonthaburi residents and all Thais can see that good local governance and a good quality of life go hand in hand," he said.
The party leader added that the Prachachon Party is ready to collaborate with all local political groups as long as their cooperation aligns with the party’s fundamental principles and values. He also noted that all candidates for Nonthaburi Provincial Governor share the sincere intent to serve the people and the desire to see Nonthaburi improve, just like Decharat.
"Our single goal is to improve the quality of life for the people of Nonthaburi through this election," Nattapong said.
