His Majesty the King has issued a royal command appointing Her Majesty Queen Suthida as the President of the Thai Red Cross Society.
On 9 September 2026 GMT+7, the Government Gazette website published the announcement.The royal command announced the appointment of the President of the Thai Red Cross Society.The content states: His Majesty King Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun has graciously commanded the announcement as follows.
Since Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother, who held the position of President of the Thai Red Cross Society, passed away on 24 October 2025 GMT+7, the presidency has remained vacant.
Under the authority of Section 3 of the Thai Red Cross Society Act, B.E. 2561 (2018), therefore, His Majesty has graciously appointed Her Majesty Queen Suthida Phatcharasutthaphimol as President of the Thai Red Cross Society.
This appointment is effective from 8 September 2026 GMT+7.
