On 10 Sep 2026 GMT+7, Mrs. Suksamruay Wantaneeyakul, Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office, explained that regarding the images circulated in the media showing her watching the Asanee-Wasan concert on an iPad screen inside the House of Representatives meeting room, which caused public misunderstanding, she wishes to openly address and sincerely apologize for the incident. She also wants to clarify facts from a perspective not previously presented to help society understand the situation better.
Mrs. Suksamruay explained that the incident occurred during a parliamentary session marked by tension and lasting late into the night. She said she has been a long-time fan of this musical group and had intentionally purchased concert tickets in advance. However, on the event day, she had to forfeit attending in person due to duties returning to serve the people in Amnat Charoen Province last Saturday. Upon learning that a fellow parliamentarian nearby was watching the paid live stream of the concert on an iPad, she felt regretful and asked the colleague to subscribe to the package so she could watch the atmosphere briefly to help relieve stress from work.
The Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office added that the images shown in the media captured only a brief moment when Ms. Nuntida Kaewbuasai, a beloved artist, was on stage performing. She admired and was struck by the artist's beautiful outfit and therefore moved closer to watch the iPad screen of her fellow parliamentarian for just a short while. She affirmed that she did not neglect her parliamentary duties nor watch continuously.
Regarding concerns about loud sound disturbance, Mrs. Suksamruay clarified sincerely that no loud volume was played as feared, since the area was surrounded by esteemed members and senior officials of the parliament. If any noise had disturbed the session, she would have been immediately reprimanded by the elders.
