The NBTC board meeting failed again for the 10th consecutive time due to the same reason—lack of quorum—forcing the postponement of three agenda items. The next meeting is set for 16 September.
On 10 September 2026, reporters reported that the 25/2026 meeting of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) was held in meeting room Sailom 1021, 2nd floor of the NBTC office. Today’s meeting was postponed again for the 10th time because the number of attending board members did not meet the quorum requirements. The attendees included Clinical Professor Dr. Soran Boonbaichaiyapruck as chair, along with Mr. Torpong Selanont and Police General Natthathorn Phorosunthorn, who joined online.
After the meeting was delayed by more than 30 minutes past the scheduled start time, a proposal was made to postpone consideration of three agenda items. The next meeting was scheduled for Wednesday, 16 September 2026. Most of the postponed items involved issues with clearly defined deadlines, such as legal cases and frequency allocation.
Additionally, an important agenda concerned the conditions for payment under the Supreme Administrative Court’s ruling, which requires the NBTC to compensate the affected parties. The court has already determined the amount of damages. As a result, the approval of payment installments must be deferred and presented again at the 16 September meeting.
