Social Security Office Urges Insured Persons and Employers to Verify Voter Eligibility Lists Ahead of 27 Sep Board Elections

As the countdown begins for the Social Security Board elections on 27 September, the Social Security Office (SSO) urges insured persons and employers to promptly verify the accuracy of the voter eligibility lists for employer and insured representatives.

On 10 September 2026, the Social Security Office (SSO) issued a reminder inviting employers and insured persons nationwide to urgently check the accuracy of the voter eligibility lists for employer and insured representatives who will serve as board members of the Social Security Committee. This important election is scheduled for Sunday, 27 September 2026. Early verification is a crucial step; the lists can be reviewed anytime, 24 hours a day, via the SSO website at www.sso.go.th or in person at the Social Security offices in Bangkok and all provincial offices across the country.

Regarding the review and correction process, the Social Security Office has set a timeframe for action. If any employer or insured person finds their name missing despite meeting all qualifications, or conversely, if an ineligible individual appears on the list, they may immediately submit a request to add or remove names. Requests are accepted from now until 16 September 2026, between 08:30 and 16:30 daily, including public holidays, at all Social Security offices in Bangkok and the provinces. To facilitate convenience and reduce travel time, insured persons and employers can download the request forms in advance from www.sso.go.th or obtain them directly at any Social Security office counter.

The Social Security Committee serves as the principal mechanism driving the management and strategic direction of the entire Social Security Fund. It plays a direct role in overseeing the management of this vast fund, considering adjustments and enhancements to medical benefits, protecting legitimate interests, and setting policies to ensure the fund's stability, transparency, and effective response to the needs of both insured persons and employers fairly and efficiently. Therefore, every vote cast on Sunday, 27 September 2026, is vital in selecting representatives who will voice and safeguard the highest interests of all employers and insured persons.

For any questions regarding the verification process, submitting requests, or election details, please contact the Social Security hotline at 1506 press 9, available 24 hours a day, or reach the Election Management Center for employer and insured representatives serving on the Social Security Committee (EMC) at 0 2956 2929 during official office hours.
