On 10 September 2026, during the House of Representatives session reviewing the 2027 fiscal year budget bill, Ms. Rakchanok Srinok, a Bangkok MP from the People’s Party, debated the budget of the Election Commission (EC). She urged caution over conflicts of interest, citing examples such as EC officials receiving 13 money transfers totaling 860,000 baht during the overlapping period of the senator election. She also mentioned a senator whose qualifications were challenged but who had a history of contacting the EC Secretary-General, who was formerly Mr. Chai Chidchob’s driver. This raised public questions about transparency, and she warned the EC not to act in ways that would make them suspected as part of the blue crime syndicate.
Additionally, Ms. Rakchanok revealed information from the senator collusion case involving a person identified by the pseudonym initial "N." in Buriram province. She cited sources saying that anyone aspiring to rise to senior government or independent organization positions must travel to meet and be evaluated by the power holders in Buriram. She forwarded this observation to the EC and the National Anti-Corruption Commission, urging them to review the flight tickets of promoted individuals over the past year.
