PM Emphasizes Right to Patriotism After Sonthi Sparks Rally Against Shadow Capital Vows Swift Deportation of Foreign Lawbreakers

Citizens have the right to patriotism following Sonthi's call to rally against shadow capital. Prime Minister Anutin confirms action against foreign nationals breaking laws with immediate deportation from Thailand. He points out that several others are suspected and the government will not hesitate to expel these individuals.

11 Sep 2026 GMT+7 Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul gave an interview at the Anti-Money Laundering Office (AMLO) regarding the case involving Sonthi Limthongkul, former leader of the People's Alliance for Democracy, who led crowds to mobilize against gray Chinese and Israeli groups breaking laws in Thailand, stating that we have the right to love our country and express dissatisfaction if foreign nationals engage in behaviors we do not tolerate. Therefore, the government issued a Prime Minister’s Office announcement concerning deportation to expedite actions against foreign nationals exhibiting inappropriate or threatening behavior in our country.

The Prime Minister further revealed that in the past week, two individuals have already been deported, and he is aware that several others meet these criteria. The authority of the Minister of Interior will not hesitate to invite these individuals to leave our country. He emphasized that all actions are taken to prevent damage to Thailand.
