“Yingcheep iLaw” led a large public network to gather and march on foot from Lat Phrao to the art gallery, demanding the Election Commission prosecute 229 cases of Senate election collusion and send them to the Supreme Court.
On 13 Sep 2026 GMT+7, a civic network led by Mr. Yingcheep Atchanont, director of the Internet Law Project (iLaw), organized a symbolic event to call on the Election Commission to prosecute all 229 accused in cases related to corruption and collusion in Senate elections, forwarding them to the Supreme Court before the Election Commission holds a decisive vote.
Mr. Yingcheep said the reason for this action is public concern over possible links between some Election Commission members and the current Senate. He warned that if the public, media, and society do not express their views, the Election Commission might dismiss the charges, which would affect the country's justice and investigation process. He emphasized that this call is not to judge guilt but to have a neutral, legally authorized body like the Supreme Court decide based on all evidence.
The main event in Bangkok involved marches, runs, and bicycle convoys from various city points, with one main march starting at Lat Phrao heading to the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre to join a large gathering at 16:00. Parallel activities also took place in several provinces such as Chiang Mai, Yala, Pattani, Phuket, and Phitsanulok.
Meanwhile, the network invited people unable to attend in person to show support online using the hashtag #ProsecuteSenateCollusion to send a message to the Election Commission during the crucial final 24 hours before their decision.
