Wiroj rebutted Phumtham over the Heo Kradong and Senate collusion issues, saying the Pheu Thai Party is well informed about the political equations involved, but corruption is simply corruption. Meanwhile, Amarat called Phumtham shameless, warning that traitors must pay the price for their betrayal of trust.
On 13 September 2026, Wiroj Lakkhanaadisorn, former MP of the People’s Party, posted on Facebook responding to Phumtham Vechayachai, leader of the Pheu Thai Party and former Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister, who had written about the Senate collusion case, saying, “The Move Forward Party has no right to demand anything from Pheu Thai when it was negotiating to form a government. If Pheu Thai had been given the chance, the Heo Kradong issue would have been resolved within a month, and the Senate collusion would have ended as well. But Move Forward didn’t care and let the Democrat Party form the government even though they were warned. The Heo Kradong and Senate collusion problems would have disappeared if you had cooperated. So why are you demanding from us now?”
Wiroj responded by thanking Phumtham for honestly explaining the facts and the Pheu Thai Party’s perspective. He did not deny that the People’s Party’s decision on the prime minister at that time was their own, and whether it was right or wrong, the public has the right to criticize. He said there is no need for him to justify or avoid responsibility.
Regarding Phumtham’s objections to the People’s Party representatives before the decision, Wiroj respected the facts Phumtham revealed. However, he believed that responsibility for choosing the prime minister is distinct from responsibility for addressing corruption and enforcing the law.
The People’s Party must take responsibility for its own decisions, and Pheu Thai must do the same for its choices, including what it chooses to do or not do. He did not intend to dictate how Pheu Thai should decide internally, and no party should have the power to command another.
But since Phumtham mentioned both the Senate collusion and Heo Kradong cases, it shows that Pheu Thai is well aware that these issues are serious, damaging public trust in the justice system and harming the country greatly. The party is well informed about both cases.
Therefore, if they agree these issues are important, Wiroj hopes that regardless of who forms the government, regardless of past decisions or party choices, these matters must be investigated, and the law enforced fairly and straightforwardly.
Because ultimately, corruption, no matter how much time passes or what the political equations are, remains corruption, always and forever.
