The people will decide for themselves. Phumtham Veerachai countered Wiroj Lakkhanaadisorn, urging him not to shift blame onto others to cover his own mistakes. He asserted that Pheu Thai had already spoken with Prachachon leaders, but they refused to cooperate and even accused Pheu Thai of being untrustworthy. He called for an end to interfering in other parties' affairs and advised each side to focus well on their own duties.
On 13 Sep 2026 GMT+7, Phumtham Veerachai, a Pheu Thai Party leader and former Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister, posted on Facebook thanking everyone for the feedback on his post on X about "collusion in the Senate." He explained that his intention was not to engage in political ping-pong debates.
He said he simply wants to see responsible political work.
In response to the voices of the people who elected representatives.
He said, "Whatever a political party has done,
the people will be the ones to judge." He warned against using political theatrics to portray oneself as good and then blame Pheu Thai, suggesting that doing nothing means Pheu Thai is gravely at fault, which obscures the real cause of problems caused by one's own party. Simply saying "sorry" does not resolve everything.
Pheu Thai does not need any party
to guide or dictate who should or should not do something.
Each party or person must take responsibility for their own actions.
My comments relate to discussions I had with representatives of the Orange Party before they decided to join the Blue Party.
Those Orange Party representatives included Khun Teng (party leader), Khun Pichon Chaowattanawong (then deputy leader, now party secretary), and Khun Sarayut Jailak
(then party secretary), and Khun Aitim (Parit Wacharasindhu)
deputy party leader.
I raised these points but did not give interviews because the Orange Party requested a pause on interviews and time to decide, which we respected. I spoke as a Pheu Thai representative, joined by Pheu Thai's deputy leaders Chusak Sirinil, Jiraphorn Sinthuprai, and party secretary Sruang Thienthong during those talks.
That's why I say we have done our part fully.
We invited you to join political work with us.
But you did not cooperate, citing distrust because of past betrayals. I even asked back, if you don't trust us, then what makes the party you chose more trustworthy than us?

Whoever wants to pursue political duties in their own way,
that person and party must decide and act responsibly without interfering in other parties' internal decisions.
