
The government is advancing efforts to ease citizens' cost of living, pleased that six rounds of the 'Thai Helps Thai' sales events have generated over 86 million baht in circulation and helped reduce living expenses by more than 15 million baht.
On 14 Sep 2026 GMT+7, Ms. Ploytale Laksamee Sangchan, Deputy Spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office, revealed that the government, through the Department of Provincial Administration, Ministry of Interior, in collaboration with the Department of Business Development, Ministry of Commerce, is continuing the policy to ease citizens' living costs via the 'Thai Helps Thai' sales campaign, phase 2, round 6, covering all 878 districts nationwide. This aims to provide access to quality products at affordable prices while stimulating the grassroots economy and generating income circulation within communities.
"The sixth round saw strong public participation with over 140,000 attendees, generating more than 13.24 million baht in circulation and reducing citizens' expenses by over 2.17 million baht. Throughout all six rounds, consistent participation has resulted in total circulation exceeding 86.56 million baht and helped lower living costs by more than 15.02 million baht. This reflects the success of cooperation among all sectors in delivering quality, affordable products directly to the public, while boosting spending and strengthening grassroots economies in all areas," Ms. Ploytale stated.
Ms. Ploytale added that the government will continue integrating cooperation among all parties to drive the 'Thai Helps Thai: Reduce Burden, Cut Living Costs' initiative as a key mechanism to alleviate citizens' expenses, stimulate the grassroots economy, and create opportunities for local entrepreneurs. The campaign will continue through September 2026, inviting people nationwide to follow and participate to jointly advance community economies, promote local economic circulation, and ease the cost of living for Thai households.
