Pradorn revealed that the Ministry of Finance will finalize the extension of "Thai Chuay Thai Plus Phase 2" after the Prime Minister gave in-principle approval, confirming there is a remaining loan decree budget of 50 billion baht.
At 12:00 noon on 14 Sep 2026 GMT+7 at the Government House, Pradorn Prissanantakul, Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office overseeing the Budget Bureau, spoke about the progress of the Thai Chuay Thai Plus project. The first phase is nearing completion by the end of this September. The Ministry of Finance is currently evaluating the situation to consider the necessity of continuing the project. Regarding the budget, about 40 to 50 billion baht remains from the 400 billion baht loan decree fund, which is ready and sufficient to drive the project forward immediately if the Ministry of Finance approves.
Additionally, the Prime Minister has given in-principle approval, allowing the project to proceed if the situation is appropriate. Regarding funding sources, the government indicated there are several budget pools, including a new one—the 400 billion baht loan decree—which is ready to be deployed immediately if the situation requires additional spending to assist the public.
