Wacharapong Criticizes Abhisit for Relying on Words, Demands Evidence on Senator Case Celebration

Wacharapong criticized Abhisit, saying he should provide evidence regarding the rumors about the senator case, alleging there was a celebration that the accused were cleared. He warned against manufacturing hype to exploit political games and to ride the Orange Party's wave in hopes of political gain.

On 14 Sep 2026 GMT+7, Wacharapong Kuwijitsuwan, MP for Saraburi from Bhumjaithai Party, responded to Abhisit Vejjajiva, leader of the Democrat Party, who criticized rumors about the senator case handled by the Election Commission (EC) that all were cleared and celebrated. Wacharapong said that as a former prime minister, Abhisit should show maturity and adhere to facts rather than use rumors to stir political momentum for his own gain or to seek unexpected benefits. He demanded clear evidence and sources detailing who did what, where, and how, rather than playing political games by seizing on the Orange Party's tactics, which include fabricating stories and mixing facts. Meanwhile, the Orange Party leader is encouraging people to take to the streets to pressure independent agencies, which resembles past politics where some party leaders abandoned parliament for protests that led to undesirable outcomes.

Wacharapong added that it is disappointing that despite decades passing, Abhisit's political methods still rely more on rhetoric than on actual work, a pattern unchanged despite evidence from numerous past elections showing that the majority of the public does not accept this approach.
