The Ruamthai Sang Chart Party issued a statement urging the Election Commission (EC) to disclose the results of the Senate election rigging investigation and called for all accused individuals to be processed through the justice system under uniform standards rather than selectively.
14 Sep 2026 GMT+7 Ms. Sasikan Wattanajan, spokesperson for the Ruamthai Sang Chart Party. She revealed that the Ruamthai Sang Chart Party (RTSC) issued a statement titled "Position on the Election Commission's Decision Regarding Senate Election Fraud." The party does not accept any form of corruption in gaining state power, including vote-buying, using money or incentives, or organizing schemes to distort the Senate election. They consider this a form of corruption that undermines the integrity of political processes, public trust in political institutions, and the image of the EC as an independent and trustworthy organization.
Regarding the EC's decision to forward the case only involving some of the accused individuals to the Supreme Court's election case division (read more: EC charges 77 involved in Senate election rigging; Anutin, Newin, and Bhumjaithai MPs cleared of all allegations) the Ruamthai Sang Chart Party demands that the EC take action against all accused to ensure transparency and fairness. Every accused person with related evidence should be subject to the justice process under equal standards.
Therefore, for correctness and transparency, the EC, as an independent constitutional body that must build public trust in the democratic monarchy system, should publicly disclose the key findings of both subcommittees' investigations concerning all accused individuals, including the reasons and evidence for not forwarding the remaining cases for legal action as soon as possible.
Ms. Sasikan added that the Ruamthai Sang Chart Party will use all political roles to monitor the EC's decisions and the progress of related processes. She emphasized that the government and all political officeholders must not interfere directly or indirectly with the investigations, so the public can trust that the law applies equally to everyone. The party is ready to cooperate with all political parties to build and develop the country's political system based on honesty and legality with uniform standards, free from interference, favoritism, or protection of wrongdoers. Any corruption investigation must not stop at the perpetrators; if there is evidence of organizers, commanders, or supporters, those individuals must also be treated equally and fairly.
