At 09:43 on 15 Sep 2026 at the Government House, Deputy Minister of Interior Pholpee Suwanchawi reported on the progress of revoking the Jewish cemetery in Chachoengsao. At 05:00 on 15 Sep, the Shabad company led the team to transfer all four bodies to the Chonburi cemetery. Notifications were made to Chachoengsao province and will be sent to Chonburi as well. He emphasized instructing the local Department of Provincial Administration to observe closely due to concerns over possible substitution or relocation, as previously the deceased’s wife wanted to move the bodies for rituals, which he did not understand since the bodies were already buried. He assigned local authorities in both provinces to oversee the situation.
Pholpee also spoke about cemeteries nationwide, saying that on 14 Sep the Ministry of Interior's special committee on social order held a meeting. They instructed the Department of Provincial Administration to complete compiling data on cemeteries and crematorium sites across the country within three days and report back. Once all names are collected, they will verify the validity of licenses. If licenses are invalid, the "Chachoengsao model" will be applied for management, revocation, and legal action. However, retrospective checks of the Shabad site in Chachoengsao revealed suspicions dating back to 2021. He believes the evidence was insufficient when applying for the cemetery license then. Using Google Earth, roads and water sources clearly existed before, but documents from the subdistrict administrative organization chief and some officials who signed approvals were questionable. The provincial governor has appointed a committee to investigate with a 15-day deadline, extendable if needed. Pholpee personally sees wrongdoing; if officials or local administrators are involved, legal proceedings will follow.
Pholpee also mentioned that a meeting later that afternoon would involve discussions with Deputy Prime Minister and Commerce Minister Supachai Suthamphan, Justice Minister Pol. Gen. Ruthapol Naowarat, the Royal Thai Police, the Anti-Money Laundering Office, and the Department of Provincial Administration under the Ministry of Interior. This off-the-record meeting would focus on nominee companies, nationalities, visas, and ongoing operations over the past 30–40 days that remain incomplete. If the Ministry of Interior arrests suspects, cases must be referred to police. If police do not proceed, reports will be made so the Ministry can expand investigations. Discussions with the Justice Minister will cover Israeli companies with networks of dozens of firms, seeking cooperation with the Department of Special Investigation to speed information sharing beyond bureaucratic procedures.
Pholpee said that during talks with Supachai, the Department of Provincial Administration would discuss company registrations and exchange information. Currently, about 2,000 nominee companies hold land in Thailand, especially legal entities, with over 10,000 suspicious companies valued at more than 80 billion baht. Data will be gathered and reviewed today before presenting to the Prime Minister after his return from Vietnam.
Regarding the progress of deporting Israeli and French foreign nationals and any appeals filed, Pholpee said no appeals have been seen yet. Immigration police have detained the individuals; if no appeal is filed within seven days, deportation will proceed. He said legal evidence and reasons for deportation must be reviewed first. For other offenses by foreigners, visa revocations will be pursued, such as the recent case involving five foreigners at pub 577 in Huai Khwang, whose visas are being revoked.
