EXAT Discusses with BEM to Alleviate Public Impact Before West Ratchathani Expressway Toll Rate Adjustment on 15 Dec 2026

The Expressway Authority of Thailand (EXAT) revealed discussions with Bangkok Expressway and Metro Public Company Limited (BEM) to ease public hardship before the new toll rates for the West Ratchathani Expressway (Si Rat-Outer Ring Road Expressway) take effect on 15 Dec 2026. The concession contract provides for toll adjustments of 15 to 35 baht every five years.


15 Sep 2026 GMT+7 The Expressway Authority of Thailand (EXAT) The Ministry of Transport disclosed that it is currently consulting with Bangkok Expressway and Metro Public Company Limited (BEM) and related agencies to find ways to assist and alleviate the public's financial burden ahead of the toll rate adjustment for the West Ratchathani Expressway (Si Rat-Outer Ring Road Expressway).

Effective from 15 December 2026, toll rates will be adjusted according to the concession contract conditions, which stipulate increases of 15 to 35 baht every five years. BEM is the sole concessionaire and 100% investor in the entire project.

The new toll rates for the West Ratchathani Expressway (Si Rat-Outer Ring Road Expressway)

  • are 80 baht per vehicle for 4-wheel cars (previously 65 baht).
  • For 6–10 wheel vehicles, the toll is 130 baht per vehicle (previously 105 baht).
  • For vehicles with more than 10 wheels, the toll is 185 baht per vehicle (previously 150 baht).

Regarding this toll rate adjustment, it applies only to the West Ratchathani Expressway (Si Rat-Outer Ring Road Expressway). EXAT will officially announce detailed assistance measures for the public ahead of the toll adjustment on 15 December 2026.
