iLaw has released a supplementary report on Special Investigation Case No. 26, featuring witness testimonies in the Senate election rigging case that detail the procedures for distributing candidate number slips for voting purposes.
At 8:00 p.m. on 15 Sep 2026 GMT+7, iLaw's Facebook page published the investigation report for Special Case No. 24/2568, including testimony from witness code 21/26. This witness was referenced by the Chairperson of the Election Commission (EC) during a press conference on the EC's vote-rigging case involving Senate members from Special Case No. 24/2568, concerning conspiracy in money laundering offenses under Section 209 of the Criminal Code and related laws, or the case of organized crime and money laundering involving senators.
According to the report, witness code 21/26 testified about collaborating with Mr. A, who is witness code 22/26 from Phayao province. They stated they attended a meeting to prepare candidate slips at Rajamangala University of Technology Suvarnabhumi on 24 June 2024, where a team member from a certain MP's office led the briefing. The slips included candidate number 150, which was the witness's own number. Mr. A also required them to sign a pre-signed resignation letter.
After the nationwide Senate election concluded, the group was summoned to convene at the Pullman King Power Hotel. There, they met political party leaders in a large conference room where discussions were held about who would be appointed Senate president and vice president. During smaller group meetings, elected senators were instructed to sign pre-signed resignation letters and hand them over to Mr. A, who was also reported to have paid compensation to Senate candidates who voted for the witness.
