He praised Sitthisot’s clear stance. He said the new facts, including the dissenting EC opinion, will be incorporated into complaints to relevant agencies such as the NACC, with swift action planned. He noted that the dissenting EC opinion aligns with the view of conscientious observers: the Senate election fraud was a large-scale scheme with organizers behind it. He added suspicion about other evidence beyond witness testimony that could link to party executives or political officeholders associated with the Bhumjaithai Party.
Asked about the timeline for filing a criminal complaint under Section 157 of the Penal Code against the Election Commission, Nattapong said he would need to confirm with legal advisors, and that direct victims—the candidates—might need to file suit. However, the Prachachon Party will file a complaint with the NACC and supports both legal actions. He expressed confidence that progress would be made this week.
Asked if the no-confidence hearing aims to pressure the Pheu Thai Party to vote no confidence in the government, Nattapong said each party has its own stance and he would not name any party. He said if the largest Senate election fraud is viewed as wrong, representatives can exercise their legislative power to vote no confidence in the government or individual ministers. When pressed if not naming Pheu Thai was unrealistic since it is a key factor for the government’s survival, he reiterated that the answer was clear: no need to call out parties explicitly to avoid political tit-for-tat. He said the vote outcome should be judged by the public in the next election. When asked about the scenario if Pheu Thai leaves the ruling coalition after the debate, he said such future analysis is possible, but the current priority is efforts by all sectors to scrutinize those in state power, including politicians, senators, and independent bodies like the EC. He asked to wait for future developments beyond this.
