At 18:31 on 16 September 2026, the Election Commission Office clarified following widespread media reports that “the Election Commission voted 4 to 3 not to accept financial evidence from the Department of Special Investigation” for use in the Senate election investigation. Upon reviewing the minutes of the 4/2569 Election Commission meeting on 12 January 2026, it was found that “the Election Commission decided by a 4 to 3 vote not to accept copies of documents, evidence, or other relevant materials, including opinions from special case investigators or authorized officials, related to special case file 24/2568.”

During the meeting, the Election Commission discussed that at that time they had not yet received the Senate election investigation file from Subcommittee 36 on dispute resolution, so they did not request the case file or any related documents from the Department of Special Investigation. The meeting minutes did not mention or propose any details regarding financial transactions (financial trails) of any individual for the Election Commission’s consideration. Furthermore, throughout 11 meetings reviewing the Senate election investigation, no commission member requested the inclusion of special case file 24/2568 for consideration. .
