Boonravee is preparing to submit a letter to the Prime Minister to help residents of four tambons in Tak Province escape a decade-long recurring drought. He urges rapid diversion of water from the Ping River into the area and construction of an irrigation system to provide drinking water, water for daily use, and agricultural water.
On 17 September 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at the Parliament, Boonravee Yomjinda, party-list MP from Ruamjai Thai Party, received a letter from the Taluk Klang Thung Subdistrict Administrative Organization in Tak Province calling on the government to address drought problems in four tambons: Taluk Klang Thung, Pong Daeng, Wang Prachop, and Nam Rum. Boonravee said he urged the Prime Minister and relevant agencies to urgently solve the drought affecting nearly 100,000 residents in these tambons who have suffered water shortages for consumption and agriculture for over ten years. This hardship has been neglected. He noted it is strange that despite the Ping River flowing through the area, there is no irrigation system to serve the communities. He wants the Ping River water diverted to aid the locals, who currently can only watch the river flow by. He plans to submit this matter to the Prime Minister and other agencies to push for budget support to help these four tambons overcome the crisis.CrisisWater is a critical issue; without it, nothing can be done. He asked for compassion for the people of Tak Province in these four tambons, who see the Ping River but have no access to irrigation systems.
