On 17 Sep 2026 GMT+7, Ms. Supamas Isarapakdi, Minister attached to the Prime Minister’s Office and supervisor of the Office of the Consumer Protection Board (OCPB), announced the successful assistance to a consumer who purchased an electric vehicle that experienced a cracked alloy wheel after only two days of use. In this case, the complainant purchased an electric vehicle of a certain brand. Only two days after receiving the vehicle, the left front alloy wheel cracked while driving, causing a tire leak and damage. The complainant filed a complaint with the OCPB seeking fairness. The OCPB referred the case to the Subcommittee on Consumer Complaint Mediation No. 3 (Labeling) to hear all parties, clarify facts, inform them of their rights and relevant laws, and negotiate a joint solution.Tags: [consumer complaint, electric vehicle defect, mediation committee, consumer rights, product safety]
