
Prime Minister Anutin attended the 77th anniversary celebration of the founding of the People's Republic of China, continuing the "Golden 50 Years" of Thai–Chinese friendship, while advancing three cooperation initiatives.
On 17 Sep 2026 GMT+7, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul attended a reception marking the 77th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. He was welcomed by Mr. Wu Zhiwu, Chargé d'Affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Thailand. During the event, the Prime Minister and distinguished guests stood in tribute to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother, and Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendiradebyavati, the Princess Royal.
The Prime Minister conveyed congratulations on behalf of the Thai government, highlighting China's crucial role in driving regional and global economic growth while Thailand undergoes economic restructuring for sustainable development. Following last year's 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations, this year marks the beginning of the "Golden 50 Years" era of Thai–Chinese relations.
The Prime Minister stated that during his visit to China in July, he discussed with senior Chinese leaders, including President Xi Jinping, and they agreed to advance cooperation in three key areas: 1. Peace and security, focusing on eradicating online scam operations (scammers) swiftly from the region; 2. Creating future opportunities by promoting trade, investment, logistics, technology, and future industries; and 3. Sustainable quality of life by encouraging high-quality investments and addressing environmental challenges. He wished for enduring friendship and a prosperous shared future between the two countries.
